Last Friday EG kicked off our first ever One School One Book program(OSOB) with an assembly. Our school family will be reading together, The World According to Humphrey by Betty Birney. Students watched a book trailer which gave an overview of the storyline, were introduced to the author and her writing house, enjoyed a hamster wheel race with our EG teachers, and each student got their very own copy of the book! Today we read the first chapter and over the next 3 weeks EG will read this book together. It is going to be fun!

Our Fall Book Fair was a great success! Smile Doctors Orthodontics partnered with EG to give the first 75 people to make a purchase a free book. The profits from the book fair allowed us to give back $1,300 to our teachers as well as student winners from the Sneaky Reading Challenge. This month we are continuing to use those profits from the book fair to “Book Classrooms”. Each classroom will get a surprise new book on their door and will pass on another new book to a different classroom. Thanks to each of you for your support at our fair!
What a wonderful Thanksgiving lunch! Thank you to the child nutrition department, staff and volunteers for all your hard work making this day possible.
