When shopping for suits this year think BRIGHT yellows, reds, pinks, and neons! We were 🤯 at the water tests done by Aquatic Safety Connection!

‼️ And remember no life jacket, flotation device, # of swim lessons, type of lesson, or color of suit should ever replace adult supervision of children around water!

It's always a fun St. Patrick's Day at daycare when the leprechauns come out to play. With help from Michelle🤫 we had a visit last night from some ornery leprechauns and our kiddos were incredible surprised this morning. I only did St. Patrick's Day themed lunch and snack today.

Next Tuesday is Dr Seuss's birthday and I love participating in Dr Seuss week. "Dr. Seuss was a storyteller in the grandest sense of the word. Not only did he tell fantastical tales of far-away places but he also gave us a unique visual language that carried his stories to new heights of artistic expression." He played a huge role in shaping children's book and in so encouraging children to read more.

So why not have a Dr Seuss Spirit Week❤

Well it was our annual trip to Faulkner's Pumpkin Patch on Thursday! Because of COVID... we almost had the the place to ourselves❤. It was a great time! The corn pit is still the kids' favorite!

So... Meet Ms. Carrie, our new cook! Her first week is APPLE week and we have kept her BUSY! She has made home made apple muffins, apple crisp, and today's lunch was ONE PAN APPLE AND CHICKEN! It may have been ONE pan... but it had 60 ingredients (a little exaggeration 😉) IT WAS AMAZING though! Did the kids eat it... of course not. But more for us teachers! Don't tell them that we are making it again... but next time we will split the ingredients up a bit so they can eat what their favorite parts!

We went to Belton Pool on Monday and Wednesday. We ALL enjoyed the lazy river. Some of the kids loved the large, fast slide 😳

As our school agers are getting ready for school tonight... i am sorting through the pictures of our adventures this past week. Our summer was a little different this year for our older kids... bit this week we tried to end it with a bang. We took them swimming twice and to the Prairie Fire Museum. We do wish these kids a fun, happy, and healthy school year!

Well... Pirate Day 2020 is done! I would have to say... it's been just like this whole year for almost everyone. Hours of planning that was pointless. Unexpected craziness was around every corner... but one thing went right... THE KIDS HAD A BLAST! The rain did not stop us... it just added to the fun. The games got wet... and the water balloons were everyone's favorite part😍

This week was baseball and sport week! We sang "Take me out to the Ballgame" throughout the week... so we had to get some peanuts and Cracker Jacks! Michelle got some peanuts in SHELLS! Great Fine Motor skills in use getting those shells opened up! Also made baseball pizzas for lunch. And of course a snack shaped baseball!

Forgot to post our School Ager's FIRST outing of the summer. We went to YaYa's Alpaca Farm in Garden City. We learned so much about Alpacas! Yaya even helped us make a small Barbie blanket out of Alpaca fiber.

So... the kids have found two crickets on the playground earlier this week. Today Ms Kelsey found the jar... there were just a few more in the jar. Trust me... we did NOT make it a science lesson.🙈🙉🙊 The other crickets got in through magic 🤣🎩✨🤣 We did let them go this morning. We wish the happy family the best of luck❤

This week was ocean animal week. Of course every year we make our "Squids on Shells" for lunch. This year we added a Blow Fish Waffles! We also added a pic of the cutest shark in the 2s room. This shark loved eating his Squid 🐙
