Students from the Enterprise & Design Lightworks Media Company recently worked for the Kauffman Foundation to produce a segment on Student Agency. The video was shared at the Real World Learning Conference in February.

On April 7th, voters will consider a 45 million dollar bond proposal.

The Board of Education approved placing the measure on the ballot at a special board meeting earlier this month. The proposed bond is structured as a no-tax-rate-increase measure. If approved, the district’s debt service tax rate is projected to remain the same, based on current state school finance law.

The proposed bond focuses on:
Safety and security improvements
Early childhood learning spaces
Expanded student learning and activity opportunities
Student activities and site improvements
Maintaining existing facilities

With safety leading the way, proposed improvements would impact every school in the district. The district website will serve as the primary source for bond information and updates in the weeks ahead.

🗓️February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) month!

Among the dirt piles and spread gravel, juniors and seniors at Raymore-Peculiar are learning how to operate and service heavy equipment. As the skilled-trade gap widens across the country, high schools and career centers like Ray-Pec have been working overtime to recruit and train the next generation of skilled workers.

Programs like Ray-Pec’s Heavy Equipment Operation emphasize hands-on training and real-world application, helping students move beyond classroom theory to develop practical, job-ready skills.
