๐Ÿ“ข Clarification for Online Registration

We want to clear up a little confusion about the โ€œNew Familyโ€ registration option.

A NEW FAMILY means your child has NEVER attended Raymondville School before.

If your child attended Raymondville School at any time previously โ€” including last school year โ€” you are NOT a new family. Please use your existing Parent Portal account to complete online registration.

This also includes incoming Kindergarten students who attended PK/K Screening and PK students who were accepted into the PK program. These students are already in our system and are NOT considered new families.

The โ€œNew Familyโ€ option is ONLY for families enrolling a student who has never attended Raymondville School and is not already in our system through PK/K Screening or acceptance into the PK program.

If youโ€™re unsure which option you should use, please contact Mrs. Ashley in the office before creating a new account.

๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽ Meet the Teacher! ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ“š

Please help us welcome Mrs. Kirsten Romines to the Raymondville School District family!

Originally from Rolla, Mrs. Romines moved to the Raymondville area in 2022 after meeting her husband, Rhyen. They have been married for three years and are blessed with three wonderful childrenโ€”Paisley (5), Ellie (2), and their newest addition, baby Ridge, who was born just this week!

When she's not in the classroom, you'll likely find Mrs. Romines spending time with her family, riding horses, attending rodeos, or enjoying the outdoors together. Making memories with her family is what she loves most.

This will be Mrs. Romines' third year of teaching. She previously taught 6thโ€“8th grade in Houston and is excited to begin this new chapter at Raymondville. She looks forward to getting to know her students, building meaningful relationships, and helping each one have a successful school year.

Mrs. Romines is looking forward to the year ahead:

Hello! My name is Mike Huffman, and I am honored to serve as your new School Resource Officer for the Raymondville School District.

Texas County has always been home to me. I grew up in the Summersville and Hartshorn areas and have dedicated my career to serving and protecting this community. I began my law enforcement career in 2003 as a Deputy Sheriff with the Texas County Sheriff's Department. From 2006 to 2008, I served as a Patrol Officer for the City of Houston before returning to the Sheriff's Department. In 2018, I joined the Willow Springs Police Department, where I served as a Patrol Officer and later as a Sergeant and Investigator. I returned to the Texas County Sheriff's Department in 2021, most recently serving as a Court Security Deputy.

I am incredibly excited about this new chapter and look forward to building strong, positive relationships with our students, staff, and families while helping ensure a safe learning environment for everyone.

Dear Raymondville R-VII Families, Students, and Community Members,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Superintendent of Raymondville R-VII School District for the 2026-2027 school year.

My name is Tracy Hughes, and the opportunity to serve this district is especially meaningful to me because Raymondville is home. I am a resident of the community and attended Raymondville school as an elementary student. The values, relationships, and sense of community that make Raymondville special have been a part of my life for many years, and I am honored to have the opportunity to give back to the district that helped shape me.

This year marks my 19th year in education. Throughout my career, I have served as a 3rd-grade teacher, middle school mathematics teacher, high school mathematics teacher, and most recently as the Middle School Principal at Houston R-1 School District. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every student deserves access to a high-quality education and the support needed to reach their full potential.

As I step into this role, I want our students, families, staff, and community members to know that I am committed to listening, learning, and building strong relationships. A successful school district is built on trust, communication, and collaboration. When schools and communities work together, students benefit in countless ways.

Raymondville has a proud tradition of supporting its schools, and I believe our district has tremendous opportunities ahead. My vision is to continue building upon our strengths while raising expectations for student achievement, academic excellence, and future readiness. Together, we can create an environment where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to succeed.

To our students, I want you to know that you are the reason we do this work. We believe in your abilities, your potential, and your future. I encourage you to work hard, take pride in your school, and make the most of every opportunity that comes your way.

To our parents and families, thank you for the trust you place in our schools. Your partnership is invaluable, and I look forward to working alongside you to support the success of every child.

To our community members, thank you for your continued support of Raymondville R-VII School District. Your investment in our schools helps create opportunities for our students and strengthens the future of our community.

I am excited about what lies ahead and look forward to meeting many of you in the coming months. Together, we will continue to make Raymondville R-VII a place where students thrive, staff excel, and the community takes pride in its schools.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am honored to serve as your superintendent and look forward to the journey ahead.

Sincerely,

Tracy Hughes
Superintendent
Raymondville R-VII School District

๐Ÿ“šโค๏ธ A Heartfelt Thank You to Community Crossroads Church! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ“š

We are incredibly grateful to Community Crossroads Church for their generous donation to Raymondville R-VII School District. Because of their kindness, every Raymondville student will have their school supplies already waiting in their classroom on the first day of school.

Parents do NOT need to purchase school supplies this year. Their generous donation has made it possible for us to purchase everything students will need before the first day of school.

Community Crossroads Church will also be hosting a Back-to-School Bash for our students and families with fun activities and fellowship on the following dates:

๐Ÿ“… Thursday, July 30 | 5:30โ€“8:00 p.m.
๐Ÿ“… Friday, July 31 | 5:30โ€“8:00 p.m.
๐Ÿ“… Saturday, August 1 | 10:00 a.m.โ€“2:00 p.m.

Please note that school supplies will not be distributed at the Back-to-School Bash. They have already been purchased and will be waiting in each student's classroom on the first day of school.

We are truly thankful for Community Crossroads Church and their heart for serving our students, families, and community. Their generosity is making a meaningful difference for every child walking through our doors this year.

Thank you for helping our Eagles start the school year strong!

๐Ÿ๐Ÿ€ A NEW ROLE FOR A FAMILIAR FACE ๐Ÿฆ…

Many in our Eagle family already know her as Ms. Jordyn, but this year sheโ€™ll be stepping into a new role as Coach Jordyn!

Jordyn brings plenty of experience to the court, with six years of school volleyball, several years of club volleyball, and three years coaching travel volleyball. She also played basketball from second grade through high school.

As a coach, Jordyn hopes to encourage her athletes to believe in themselves, work hard, and reach their full potential. Most importantly, she wants to create a positive and fun environment where her athletes can grow both on and off the court.

Weโ€™re excited to see Coach Jordyn take on this new role and lead our Eagle athletes!
