Predestined and Determined with a Caveat.
Two things can be true at the same time.
Jesus shed his blood for the sins of the whole world. Yet the whole world is not saved.
God is sovereign and predestines events; conclusions and the endgame have been determined.
And yet, God in his sovereign wisdom has chosen to use the mechanism of a willing person to accomplish it.

In a world that has been infected with the nonchalant attitude toward Jesus Christ, we must reaffirm our conviction and profession concerning Jesus Christ.
So much debate and controversy around who and what Jesus is and is not.
As a believer in the authenticity of the text of Scripture.
I have an unapologetic skepticism toward all the other texts that some point to as substantive authorities or as guiding statements, councils, confessions, and conferences.
How skeptical? I reject the idea that they have any value outside of understanding the historical view. Often, these have been and are used as litmus tests. While doubting, discounting, and, in some cases, disavowing actual words in scripture, they embrace, to the exclusion of scripture that offends their orthodoxy, statements that were hammered out in compromise for the purpose of unity, while at the same time demanding that others believe and profess them.

Passion for belief is admirable, but what if it means you think someone else is wrong? The ultimate truth isn't found in denominations, popes, grandmas, or specific books—it's found solely in the word of God. Jesus loves us all.

Jesus proclaimed, 'Anyone thirsty, let him come to me and drink.' Belief in Him, as the Scriptures say, connects us to God's blessings. Just like a water hose needs to be connected to the spigot to deliver water, our faith must be connected to God's word to receive His blessings.
