Willapa Fi****ms Training Mission, Vision, and Values

MISSION: We strive to provide quality, engaging, safe, and correct training for armed professiona

ls and law-abiding citizens as it applies to physical skills and knowledge for self-defense, mindset, marksmanship, and tactics. VALUES: Willapa Fi****ms Training believes in the Constitutionally protected right to both protect yourself and your family and to possess and use fi****ms. We believe fi****ms are neither safe nor unsafe by themselves and that the person who uses or possess the firearm determines the safe and appropriate use of the firearm. VISION: We believe that to make a big ripple in a pond it isn’t enough to just teach these skills to end-users but we must also further the knowledge by teaching others to teach these skills. To accomplish his goal we work towards bringing local LE Fi****ms Instructor Courses and offer services of NRA Training Counselors to train and certify instructors, training them to higher than required standards.

A high qualification score looks good on paper. But does it actually predict performance when it matters most?

In his latest Tactical Science article, Executive Director Dr. Pete Blair examines the disconnect between fi****ms qualification scores and real world performance, challenging assumptions about what traditional qualification standards actually tell us about an officer's capabilities.
