This year’s Hinds Community College Alumni Service Award recipient, Vicksburg Medical Foundation, has paved the way for thousands of Nursing & Allied Health students to pursue a career in the healthcare industry across our state, region & nation!

We will honor the investment that Vicksburg Medical Foundation has made in our students at our Alumni Recognition event on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, at 4:30 PM inside Cain-Cochran Hall. Admission is free.

This year’s Hinds Community College Young Alumnus of the Year is Dr. Mark A. Jimerson! From a gifted student to a dedicated student services professional, Dr. Jimerson personifies what makes Hinds special to thousands of alums across our state, region & nation.

Come celebrate with us!

We are excited to celebrate another new beginning for Hinds Community College - Rankin Campus! This state of the art facility will house the LPN and RN nursing programs as well as many other health related programs. Everyone is invited to join us Wednesday morning for the celebration that will begin at 10:30am. The Health Sciences Complex faces the Clyde Muse Center.

The Impact Scholarship is a unique scholarship designed to recognize students for their academic achievements while also celebrating the teachers who have made a lasting impact on their lives. We all have a favorite teacher—the one who believed in us, encouraged us, challenged us, or helped shape who we are today. This scholarship gives you the opportunity to share that story while receiving financial support to help with your education at Hinds Community College!
