Our end of year Junior High Band party and the first ever “paper plate” awards! (Not all awards are shown) followed by yummy treats and a dance party! I think I finally have the moves for “fishin’ in the dark”! I absolutely love teaching this age group. To my 8th grade, like I always say; my classroom, my ear and my heart are always here for you, even through your high school years. To my 7th grade, I can’t wait to make more music and memories with you next year! You all have a special place in my heart. ❤️

We would like to send out a huge thank you to all who made yesterday's event a success. To the bands that performed, each of you were amazing. The talent each of you have remarkable and we are proud of where you have gone with music in the local area and Columbus! To the food trucks, the food and ice cream was amazing! You made our stomachs full and hearts happy. To Hightower Brewing, your venue, dedication and support was overwhelming and we are forever grateful. To our sound guy, you went above and beyond to provide amazing sound and the use of your equipment was extremely thoughtful. We will always be grateful to you. To our sponsors, the baskets were a hit! You each did an amazing job putting those together for us. And the shirts are amazing! What a great way to remember our first Battle of the Bands! And to the help, the Booster parents out did themselves getting this ready and working it to raise funds for the Band. The parents are our greatest support, thank you to each of you! And to the people who showed up in the rain, we love you! Thank you for your support!!

Bourkely is known for being friends with everyone in the band and also for his dedication to the percussion section. He goes the extra mile to learn his parts and makes sure that he plays every rhythm correctly. Bourkely is always willing to have fun, whether it’s in rehearsal or a performance, and he brings a smile to both audiences and his fellow band mates alike! Congratulations Bourkely!
