What an awesome 3 days planning the upcoming FFA year. The officers had a variety of opportunities to experience different things. The first stop was Buc-ee's, for a restroom experience like no other. Lunch was secured and went to Eastwood Metroparks to eat and conversation dice. Then tour Jungle Jim's and the students were disappointed when there were Port-a-Johns for restrooms. The boys team won the scavenger hunt after the tour. Groceries were picked up and off to the house in Cincinnati. The first night we set expectations, goals, and did a get to know you activity with designing coat of arms representing each officer's life.
Day 2 started with planning activities and designing the POA. It ended with going through the calendar and planning dates for meetings and other programs. After lunch we went to the William Howard Taft's house. Each officer completed the Jr. Ranger Program for the National Park Service (Ms. James tried but was too old). After dinner we divided into two groups and tried to Breakout of the Escape Rooms. Group 1 of Willow, Cordelia, Ms. James, Rory, and Logan successfully stopped the run away train and safely got all the passengers off the train. However, Group 2 of Griffin, Molly Madalyn, Grace, and Kaedyn were unsuccessful in defusing the bomb in their room. They said they were within minutes of the solution... Ended the adventure with cobbler at the Peach Cobbler Factory( it was delicious). Ended the evening with a movie and hot tub time.
Day 3 Started with picking out the design for the 2026 FFA shirts. Then the team wrote a note for each team member. We packed up and headed to Dayton for a little competition at go- carts and mini golf. Logan even got eaten by a whale. Finally arrived home and everyone was exhausted.
