One of my students sent me some pictures today! Her comments, “I made it as my birthday dessert since I dont like cake and everyone said it was great! My dad frequently goes to Greek festivals and said it was better than even the baklava they served there so I think thats a good sign lol!“ She made it in International Foods and Culture class when I had her … loved it …. and is still making it! Love it when my kids share things with me and I absolutely love it when they continue with things gained from the classroom and utilize it in real life! Way to go Peyton! Proud of you! 👏 🥳🎉💖

Finished the Raise the Bar Summer Educator Experience today! Not sure how many summers that they have offered it, but I have been involved since it started! I always take away things to use in my classroom to help my students educational such as field trip destinations, guest speakers, job opportunities, skills to focus on for their development and transition to the work force, and connecting with fellow educators from other districts about their programs! So rewarding! 👏🎉💖

Well kids …. Mrs. Bucher does cook at home sometimes! Last night homemade mac n cheese! Tonight, beef and noodles and mashed potatoes! Just like my Grandma Augustine … with the exception that I do not make homemade noodles like she did! I have included a picture of my Grandma (and Grandpa)! She was awesome in the kitchen and Grandpa was awesome in the garden! Learn things from your family while you can because someday you will just have the memories to cherish! P.S. I always make double batches for leftovers!
