The first full week in May is teacher appreciation week, and we have selected Wednesday of that week to provide a meal for the teachers/staff at Ravenswood HS. We are asking for monetary donations to assist in covering the cost as we are not able to use class funds for this event. We are serving pulled pork, coleslaw, chips, water with flavoring packets, and cookies. We are also contributing a tray of cookies and fruit for Friday when every class is bringing a dessert. We have estimated the total cost to cover 50 staff members at approximately $189 including Friday's treats. If you are able and willing to donate money, please message us so that we can make arrangements. We currently have donations of $80. I have attached the pricing list we have started for reference.

Update from the 3/25/2026 meeting:

Fundraising was discussed and we have the following planned:

1. Yard Sale June12-13th!!!!
As we near the time, we will set up drop off locations and times. Please save any items now and price them prior to dropping off. We will also be having a bake sale/drinks. Location is in Ravenswood.

2. Ravenswood Item Sale
We are going to be selling Ravenswood items that are not clothing!!! Plan is to start in late August. Items are being finalized now and will get all the necessities finalized before July.

3. We are researching doing something at Ohio River Festival or Harvest in the Wood or both. There is also MystiCon at the library in October where we will have something (booth with items, food, snacks, drinks, etc)

If you can think of anything other ideas please let us know so we can discuss/research.

We also are planning on taking a day for teacher appreciation week and showing our thanks to the staff at RvHs. We have a plan and will be letting everyone know if the next week or two once PAC has their meeting.

All the fundraisers are to pay for homecoming floats, Prom, Senior trip, and Projection Graduation along with other class projects. We are learning as we go and need all the help we can get!

Supporters and students of the Class of 2028 will be having a planning meeting Wednesday, March 25th at the Ravenswood Public Library at 5:30pm. We have fundraisers to schedule and fundraisers to plan. Please use entrance at the side parking lot to enter.

11/12/2025 Meeting Recap
The group listened to a presentation by Molly Washburn, the executive director of Downtown Ravenswood Partners, and decided to volunteer to assist in the upcoming Shop Small Saturday and River Lights Night. The students are to register to volunteer on-line and you can see EJ Abels for information. Most students registered to volunteer for Lamp Post Decorating, Tree Decorating and to assist with the Cocoa Crawl.

We are still working on fundraisers as there are specific guidelines we must follow and certain specifications the business we are working with must have. We have 2 more estimate on items to collect, and the kids will be choosing a vendor for fundraiser soon.

We know this is very last minute, but we are having a short meeting tonight at 5:30pm at the Ravenswood Public Library. Please use the side door in the back parking area. We have been presented with a great volunteer opportunity and will have a speaker there to discuss. We also will be updating the fundraising progress.

We had a very productive meeting this evening and are getting information on multiple fundraisers to complete this year. If you have any ideas, please let us know. The following was discussed:

Teacher Appreciation Week is going to be handled by PAC, and they are asking for donations from the classes to do a gift card basket fundraiser. We will have more information on this in the next week when the kids decide how they want to complete this.

Trunk or Treat- the PAC is selling spots at HJK for trunk or treat (10/30). The proceeds will go to Teacher Appreciation Week. The Class of 2028 will have a spot. Right now, candy is the main need. We will have more information in a week.

Proposed fundraisers:

Domino's Pizza discount cards- Nichole Abels is checking on logistics

Ravenswood Library Open House 12/6- possible hot cocoa bar.

Dinner Tickets- We are researching partnering with a local food trunk and selling tickets for a meal. The tickets would be sold prior and only meals for the tickets would be prepared. Hoping to do the day of Ravenswood's Christmas Parade.

Blankets, Bag (dupe Boggs Bag), and Flag sale- We have located a vendor who has partnered with other organizations/schools for this fundraiser. We are reaching out to them now for more information on cost, scheduling, etc.

Yard Sale-We are contacting various spots for a potential location for a class yard sale. Save your items for donation!!

We would like to meet within the next 2-3 weeks to go over the findings and start some plans in motion. Is there a preference of evenings?

Please plan to attend!! This meeting is to discuss and start fundraisers for the Class of 2028 to go towards future activities, mainly PROM!! We need as many parents and student to attend as possible.
