🚌📚✏️Our wonderful friends from P1FCU stopped by yesterday to drop off school supplies they have gathered for our students here at Mountain View through their annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive!
These supplies will be available to our Mountain View students throughout the entire school year helping make sure they have what they need when they need it.
P1FCU has been a wonderful supporter of Mountain View for years and their generosity and commitment to our students never goes unnoticed. ❤️

Due to the transition to our new system, 𝙅𝙪𝙡𝙮 31 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩.
If your returning student is not enrolled by July 31, 2026, enrollment completed after that date will be considered 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 rather than a returning student. This means it will be necessary to resubmit all required enrollment documentation, including:

Important returning student information!

𝘼 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙀𝙣𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩
Registration is open for all students. In addition,
due to our transition to a new system, we strongly encourage all returning students have their enrollment completed by midnight July 31, 2026.
If your returning student is not enrolled by July 31, 2026, enrollment completed after that date will be considered 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 rather than a returning student. This means it will be necessary to resubmit all required enrollment documentation, including:

Free breakfast and lunch at Lakeland High School from June 10 to July 17. Free for everyone from 1- 18 years old. In person only. You do not have to be a Lakeland student to participate.
This year we did not qualify to offer SFSP at any other locations. This determination is based on census data.

🔦 CAREER CONNECTIONS SPOTLIGHT 🔦

A huge thank you to Chris and Stephanie Engelbrect of C&S Automotive for sharing their time, knowledge, and experience with Mountain View students as part of our Career Connections Guest Speaker Series!

Chris and Stephanie gave students an inside look at the automotive industry, discussing topics such as:

🔧 What new mechanics need to know to succeed
🔧 ASE Certifications and career advancement opportunities
🔧 The skills and qualities employers look for when hiring
🔧 The realities of owning and operating a successful small business
🔧 The importance of professionalism, reliability, communication, and a strong work ethic

Students learned that today's automotive industry is about much more than turning wrenches. Modern technicians work with advanced technology, computer diagnostics, and constantly evolving systems that require ongoing learning and training.

Perhaps most importantly, Chris and Stephanie shared their journey as business owners, emphasizing that success comes from building trust, serving customers well, and investing in people.

At Mountain View, we are committed to helping students connect classroom learning to real-world careers. Experiences like these help students explore future opportunities, understand workforce expectations, and see firsthand the many pathways available after graduation.
