We had a amazing college application day at CHS! Unfortunately, we didn’t take many pictures… but School Counselors and college reps were busy talking to students about their post-high plans and helping them apply to colleges all day!
We love hearing about students dreams and goals, and we are happy to be a part of their journey! 🎓🌟
Thank you to our amazing college reps from BHSU, SDSU, SDSMT, WDT and Augustana for coming to help with this event today!
We had so many students come throughout the day that we almost ran out of space. Next year we hope to host the event in our NEW LIBRARY!

Freshmen Biology learned that candy isn't the only sticky thing to watch out for this Halloween. Students learned that the "stickiness" of water makes life as we know it possible thanks to polarity, cohesion, and adhesion.

A group of juniors and seniors made a campus visit today to South Dakota Mines. They started out with a nice presentation on admissions and what a student would need to do to apply to the college. It was followed up by a nice walking tour to see the engineering departments, the library, dorm rooms, and their cafetorium. We finished up our tour with a visit to the Museum of Geology where students could walk at their own pace and check out all the dinosaur bones and rocks from thousands of years ago. Our presenter and tour guide were excellent and we can't wait to go back.
