๐โ๏ธ Coal Country FFA Goes Global! ๐ฎ๐ช๐๐ฑ
Nine Coal Country FFA members recently returned from an unforgettable 10-day agriculture-focused tour of Ireland hosted by Mrs. Starkey. The group of 36 total travelers from Coal Country FFA, Gillette FFA, Campbell County 4-H, and other local agriculture students to explore how agriculture is practiced around the world.
Throughout the trip, students visited dairy farms, flower farms, strawberry farms, sheep operations, cow-calf ranches, shellfish farms, organic farms, and the famous Irish National Stud. They also explored Irelandโs rich history and culture through visits to a lead mine, traditional silversmith shop, and numerous historic sites.
This experience allowed our members to compare agricultural practices in Ireland with those here in Wyoming while gaining a broader understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing producers worldwide. Most importantly, it helped develop leadership, agricultural literacy, and a global perspective that will benefit them for years to come.
We are incredibly proud of these nine members for representing Coal Country FFA, Campbell County, and Wyoming agriculture abroad. Opportunities like this showcase the value of agricultural education and the bright future of our industry. ๐๐
