The back to school bbq was awesome! We had corn hole, roping, and the best part… food! We used the chickens the agriculture science class raised and butchered. We had all of our amazing officers introduce themselves and welcome new members! Thank you to everyone who came!

Hello I am Carson DeBusk, I am a senior at Thunder Basin High school, and I am honored to be the 2026-2027 president of the Coal Country FFA Chapter. I compete in Ag Mech and Farm Business management. I use these skills in my haying company where I work on equipment and learn finances to run this company. I enjoy other hobbies such as hunting, football, and building cool vehicles. I would like to bring more people into our FFA and help all of the members achieve their goals.

Whats up, my name is Kaitlyn Binder I am a Junior and I am the 2026-2027 1st Vice President. My goal for this year is to communicate and get to know the members in a greater capacity. I have shown horses, sheep, and rabbits for 9 years. I have three brothers and I did Creed Speaking as a freshman and I am also on the Veterinary science team, as well as the horse judging team. I want to make everyone feel invited, included and fall in love with the organization like I did.

I am on the livestock judging team and the greenhand quizbowl team. My goals this year are to get to know each and every member in our chapter and ensure everyone has as much fun in FFA as me!

Hello!! My name is KayLynn Ballou, but I go by Kk. I am the Coal Country FFA chapters 2026-2027 treasurer. I want to make people feel happy and included in this FFA chapter and everywhere. I show goats and I used to show pigs. I was also on the livestock judging team this past year!

I am on the Veterinary Science team and did creed speaking my freshman year. My goals this year are to encourage more students to join FFA and to ensure that everyone feels just as welcomed as I was.

Heyy! I’m Emmalynn Horst, a sophomore and the Reporter for the 2026–2027 school year. My biggest goal this year is to be a positive role model while also finding the right balance between having fun and taking our responsibilities seriously. I show sheep, love working with animals, and hope to become an agriculture teacher in the future. I’m excited to help make our chapter’s activities fun and encourage everyone to get involved so we can have an amazing year together!
