2026 South Dakota Track & Field All-State
Congratulations to our Stevens Raiders girls who earned South Dakota All-State Track & Field honors!
To be named All-State, an athlete must finish among the top eight performers in their event across all three classes at the South Dakota State Track & Field Championships. With approximately 3,000 athletes competing at the state meet, this recognition places these young women among the very best in South Dakota.
We are incredibly proud of these athletes and all the hard work, dedication, and commitment they invested throughout the season. Congratulations on an outstanding accomplishment and a well-deserved honor!

🏆 SHS TOP RAIDER GIRL – AVA HOLZWARTH 🏆
Congratulations to Ava Holzwarth, our 2025-26 Top Raider Girl at Stevens High School!
Ava is the definition of a student-athlete. In the fall, she has been one of the top soccer players in South Dakota and has verbally committed to continue her athletic career at South Dakota State University. In the spring, she has established herself as one of the premier track & field athletes in South Dakota.
Ava is the Stevens High School long jump record holder, owns the #2 long jump mark in South Dakota history, is a member of our State Record 4x100 relay team, and has been one of the key contributors to the success of our program.
But this recognition is about more than records, medals, and championships. Ava is one of the fiercest competitors around. Her work ethic, leadership, determination, and commitment to her teammates have made her one of the most respected athletes in our school.
The Top Raider Girl award recognizes excellence in athletics, leadership, character, and school involvement—and Ava embodies all of those qualities.
We are incredibly proud of everything she has accomplished and even more proud of the person she has become.
Congratulations, Ava, on being named the Top Raider Girl! 💙🤍🏴☠️

🥈 STATE RUNNER-UP 🥈
Jack Day placed second at the State Championships in the 110-meter hurdles. As a senior, he capped off an outstanding career in the Stevens High School track and field program.
This year, Jack set a new Stevens High School record of 14.09 and now owns the third-fastest time in South Dakota history.
What makes his accomplishment even more impressive is the journey behind it. After battling through significant injuries during his career, Jack refused to let setbacks define him. Through countless hours of rehab, training, and determination, he fought his way back to the top.
Jack’s toughness, resilience, and competitive spirit were on full display all season long, and they culminated in a runner-up finish and a place among the best hurdlers South Dakota has ever seen.
Congratulations, Jack! The work, sacrifice, and perseverance paid off.

Beyond the medals and accomplishments, Sylvie has been a tremendous representative of Stevens High School. Her determination, positive attitude, and competitive spirit have made her a valued teammate and someone coaches and teammates will greatly miss.
As she begins her collegiate track and field career, we’re excited to see what the future holds. Thank you, Sylvie, for everything you’ve given to Raider athletics.

STATE CHAMPIONS. 🏆
For the second straight season, Maya Khachikian, Riley Willet, Ava Holzwarth, and Ella Bradeen stood atop the podium as South Dakota State Champions in the 4x100-meter relay.
Before winning Saturday’s final, they shattered the State Meet Record in the prelims with an incredible 47.16. Then they came back and finished the job when it mattered most.
What makes this group so special isn’t just the times they ran. It’s the consistency. The competitiveness. The trust. Over the past two seasons, this relay has been undefeated. Meet after meet, they delivered. Different personalities. Different strengths. Different journeys. But together, they became something truly remarkable.
Along the way, they didn’t just win races—they rewrote the record books. Earlier this season, they ran 47.09, the fastest girls’ 4x100-meter relay ever recorded in South Dakota history, a state record that now belongs to them. At the State Meet, they followed it up by breaking the State Meet Record with a blazing 47.16 in the prelims before returning to capture the state championship in the finals.
They helped take girls’ sprint relays in South Dakota to a new level. Times that once seemed almost untouchable became the expectation. What was most impressive is that they didn’t just run fast once—they did it over and over again against the best competition in the state.
As coaches, we will miss Ella Bradeen tremendously. She has been a leader, a competitor, and a steady presence for this group. Her shoes won’t be easy to fill, and her impact on this program will be felt for years to come.
At the same time, great programs keep moving forward. Maya, Riley, and Ava return with the standard already set. The next athlete who earns a spot on this relay won’t be replacing Ella—they’ll be continuing a legacy built by four young women who showed what excellence looks like.
The goal remains the same because that’s the expectation this group created: compete, win, and chase another state championship. They don’t like to lose, and that’s one of the many reasons they have been so successful.
State Champions. State Meet Record Holders. State Record Holders. Undefeated.
Not a bad legacy for four young women who learned how to trust one another, compete for one another, and achieve something truly special together.
Thank you, Maya. Thank you, Riley. Thank you, Ava. Thank you, Ella.
What a run. 💙🏃♀️🏆
What a weekend for the Raiders. ❤️💙
