Wondering what we've been up to? Well, in the Spring of 2025, we got to do our yearly brass out ceremony! On April 26th, 2025, we brassed out Molly Smith, Skyler Doty, and Maverick Dehmlow. They got to do one last field problem together full of fun little jokes! Now they have graduated and moved on to better things. Wishing the best for you guys!

About a month ago, the team attended the bi-annual M**D competition held by the CSM Mine Rescue team! While we didn't bring home any trophies, we still had an amazing time. We have really grown as a team and learned a lot from those who ran and participated in the competition. We're excited to keep growing together and come back stronger next time! Thank you to CSM for holding this competition.

The SDSMT MRT is back at it! We participated in the org fair on Thursday, the 16th. That same night we had our first official practice! We have fully settled into the Nucor building and we are ready to start working again. Let's have a good semester, team!

Over the past week, the team has been hard at work moving into the new Nucor building! We're so excited to begin working together in this new space. Many memories were made in the MI building, but now it's time to embrace the opportunities ahead and create new ones. We can’t wait to continue growing together as a team. Watch out, Nucor building—here comes the SDSMT Mine Rescue Team!

On Saturday, November 16th, the team got geared up and went under the EEP building! It was a fully under air practice and it was a very good training, especially for our newbies. Some of the team members also went to go clean the BG4's on Sunday, which was plenty of fun. Thank you to everyone who participated in these events!

The team held elections in early November to fill a few officer positions! Here's the officer positions that have changed:

On November 2, 2024, the SDSMT MRT suited up for their annual Halloween problem! We thank everyone who participated in this event; the team has gained a lot of experience.
