🎓 Congratulations to Dr. Ryan Young on graduating from the Harvard Strategic Data Fellowship this week in Boston!
While attending the 2026 Strategic Data Project Convening, Ryan presented research focused on an important question for schools and organizations alike:
Does coaching and professional learning, led by Compass Partners in Learning, create a greater impact than traditional “one-and-done” professional development?
The findings pointed to a clear takeaway: meaningful growth happens through ongoing support, feedback, and coaching over time, not just a single training session.
Key lessons learned from the study:
• Long-term coaching led to stronger confidence and instructional growth
• Early-career educators benefited the most from sustained support
• Personalized coaching models produced greater impact than broad, one-size-fits-all approaches
• Ongoing feedback loops were critical for lasting change in practice
We’re proud to see Ryan’s work highlighted on a national stage and grateful for his leadership in helping move professional learning forward.

Community & Family Services and Compass are coming together as one, building a bridge that better connects schools, families, and communities.
Together, this work is designed to meet individuals where they are and guide them to where they want to be.
Our vision is a future where schools, families, and communities are connected to support all individuals.
More coming this July.

Future leaders aren’t just thinking about what’s next. They’re stepping into it.
Over two days at K-Bar-S Lodge, aspiring school leaders explored what leadership really looks like in today’s schools. From hands-on simulations with Dr. David De Jong to real conversations with principals, superintendents, and special education leaders, participants experienced the complexity, challenge, and impact of the role.
They asked tough questions.
They heard honest stories.
They practiced making decisions that matter.
Sessions with leaders like Brady Sumners and Rob Monson offered insight into both the day-to-day realities and the bigger picture shaping education today.
The experience wrapped with reflection, connection, and a deeper understanding of what it means to lead schools forward.
Thank you to the school leaders, speakers, and participants who made this experience meaningful.
The future of education is in thoughtful, prepared, and courageous hands.

Have questions about AI in schools? We want to hear them.
At the TIE Conference, we’re flipping the script. Instead of a panel of experts, educators in the room will respond to real questions from families and community members.
That’s where you come in.
Send a quick video (10–20 seconds) sharing your question about AI in education.
Think homework, appropriate use, or what schools should be doing.
🎥 First name + your question
📧 Send to us through messenger
Your question could be featured during the session, and you’ll get real responses back from educators.
