Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, service, and selflessness continue to impact generations, and we are grateful for the freedoms their sacrifice helped protect.

Today feels like a good reminder that the work of motherhood often happens in the quiet moments that most people never see. It’s the early mornings, the repeated encouragement, the hard conversations, the patience after a long day, and the decision to keep showing up even when things feel heavy.

At Impact Learning & Development, we have the privilege of walking alongside so many incredible mothers and caregivers who advocate fiercely for their children while also carrying the emotional weight of wanting the very best for them. We see the dedication it takes to celebrate small victories, navigate challenges, and continue moving forward with hope and determination.

For many of the children we serve, progress may come one step at a time. Behind those steps is often a mother who has spent countless hours learning, supporting, encouraging, and believing in her child through every stage of growth. That kind of love shapes confidence, resilience, and connection in ways that matter deeply.

Mother’s Day can also hold a mix of emotions for many families. Some are celebrating joyful milestones, some are navigating exhaustion, some are grieving, and some are simply doing their best to make it through another week while caring for the people they love most. There is space for all of those experiences today.

To every mother, grandmother, foster mother, caregiver, and woman who pours into the life of a child with patience and compassion, thank you. Your presence matters more than you may realize, and the consistency you provide often becomes the foundation children build from for years to come.

This week has been a great reminder of how much heart, patience, and care our team brings into Impact Learning & Development every single day. During Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, we wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible people who support our children and families each day.

The work our team does takes compassion, flexibility, teamwork, and a whole lot of patience. Whether they are celebrating milestones, helping children work through challenges, creating meaningful learning experiences, or simply showing up with consistency and encouragement, they make a difference in ways that matter deeply.

What makes our team so special is the genuine care they bring into every interaction. The relationships they build with our children and families are at the center of everything we do, and we are so grateful for the people who help make our center feel safe, supportive, and welcoming.

To our teachers, therapists, RBTs, support staff, and leadership team, thank you for everything you do. We are incredibly thankful for each of you and proud of the team we continue building together. 💙

We had the chance to have Crystal Trevino Photography at Impact Learning & Development and Impact Kidz Academy for spring photos today, and it was such a special experience for our kids and team. They brought so much patience and creativity into the day, and it really showed in how they took their time with each child, meeting them where they were and making the whole process feel comfortable and positive.

It means a lot to us to work with people who truly see our kids and take the time to capture who they are, and we’re so grateful for the care they put into every moment. On top of that, they’re donating 10% of their photo proceeds to our playground fund, which is such a meaningful way to give back to our community.

We had such a great day yesterday at the YFS Kids Fair and we’re really looking forward to being back again today. If you’re out and about, come spend some time with our team. We have a few simple, fun options for kids to jump into, including an inchworm craft, our giant tower stack, and the always popular water table. We’ll be there from 12–4PM and would love to see you there.

We’re at the Youth and Family Services Fair in Rapid City today and looking forward to a great Kids Fair with lots of fun and connection.

If you’re out and about, stop by our booth, say hi, and bring the kids over. We’d love to see you and be part of your day.

Reminder: Our Impact Learning & Development families that this Friday, 4/10/26, is an early release day. All children need to be picked up no later than 1:00 PM so our team can transition into scheduled planning time together. We will begin bringing children out around 12:55 PM, and if you need to pick up earlier than that, please let us know so we can have your child ready. We appreciate your support in helping us protect this time for planning, as it allows our team to stay aligned and continue providing the highest level of care for your children.

🕗 Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
Optional extended hours until 5:30 PM on 2–3 days/week to reach a full 40-hour schedule

🎓 Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma
Passion for working with children with special needs
