🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Rapid City Christian! 🇺🇸

Labor Day gives us a chance to pause and recognize the value of work—and the people who faithfully give their time, energy, and talents to serve others.

While Labor Day began as a way to honor the American worker, as Christians, we can also use this day to remember that our work is an opportunity to honor God. Whether we are teaching, building, serving, leading, caring for a family, or working behind the scenes, God sees the work of our hands.

At RCCS, we are especially thankful for the many people who pour into our students each day. Teachers, staff, parents, grandparents, volunteers, and community members all play a part in the work God is doing through our school. 💙💛

As we enjoy a day of rest, may we also be reminded that faithfulness in our work matters to God. We pray that He will continue to guide our hands, strengthen our efforts, and use our work for His glory.

We’re celebrating 45 years of Christian education, and we want our grandparents to be part of the fun!

Join your grandchildren on Friday, September 18 for a morning of pancakes, fellowship, an academic showcase, Powder-Puff Football, Ironman Volleyball, and more!

Then come back that afternoon for our 45th Anniversary Celebration & Homecoming! 🎉🏈

It’s a special day to celebrate our families, our school, and most of all, God’s faithfulness through the years.

🤟 Battleship… but make it ASL! 🚢

Mrs. Morgan’s ASL class kicked off the year learning the alphabet through a fun game of Battleship! Students could only use ASL to communicate as they played—putting their new skills (and a little strategy!) to the test. 🤟🎯

Learning a new language is even better when it’s fun! 💙💛

Every school day brings moments when we need an extra set of hands in the classroom—and we're looking for a few dependable people who would enjoy stepping in as RCCS Substitute Teachers.

You don't have to be a teacher to make a difference. Maybe you have a flexible schedule, you're retired, you're a parent, or you simply enjoy encouraging young people. Substitute teaching is a wonderful opportunity to serve our students, support our teachers, and be part of what God is doing at RCCS.

🤖💙 Getting to Know You, STEM Style!

Mrs. Weber’s new 8th Grade STEM class kicked off the year with a creative challenge!

Students designed 3D robots to represent their personalities, interests, and favorite things—but kept their creations a secret! 🤫 The finished robots were displayed without names for a gallery walk as classmates tried to match each robot to its creator.

🔧🤖 A fun way to mix creativity, problem-solving, and getting to know one another as this new STEM class gets underway!

We love seeing our Comets learn, create, and discover new ways to use the gifts God has given them! ✝️💙☄️
