We were saddened to learn of the death of Dean Bryson. Dr. Bryson was a member of the South Dakota Mines faculty from 1976-2002, serving as a professor of psychology and the first {and only?} Dean of the College of Interdisciplinary Sciences at the university.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Cathryn Spelts. Dr. Spelts came to South Dakota Mines in the fall of 1966 as Instructor of Freshman English; she retired in 1990 after teaching a variety of English classes and touching the lives of many students.
