Black Hills Studios of the Arts: A Nonprofit Corporation

💔 An unfortunate surprise greeted us during our semester break.

Someone made the disappointing decision to throw a rock through one of our studio windows, causing damage to a place that exists solely to serve and enrich our community through the arts. While we are saddened and frustrated by this act of vandalism, we refuse to let it overshadow the incredible support we have received in response.

We are beyond grateful to our amazing neighbors who spotted the damage so quickly and alerted us before the incoming storm. Had rain and wind entered through the broken window, the damage could have been far more extensive.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to our landlords for their immediate response, quick cleanup, and genuine compassion throughout this situation. Their support made a difficult circumstance much easier to navigate.

Black Hills Studios of the Arts has always been about resilience, community, and creating something beautiful together. While we are disappointed by the actions of one individual, we are far more encouraged by the kindness, generosity, and care shown by so many others.

We are still here. We are still serving our students. We are still making music, creating art, and building community.
