We’re a welding school in Rapid City, South Dakota designed to provide focused, hands-on training for people interested in pursuing a career in the skilled trades.

Because they believe there are many paths to a successful career—and skilled trades are one of them.

They wanted to create something different in Rapid City, South Dakota: a welding school focused on hands-on training, real-world skills, and industry-recognized certifications.

Great Plains Welding Academy gives students the opportunity to learn welding in a 6–12 week program while spending the majority of their time actually working in the shop.
