This morning, one of our students was involved in an accident while crossing the street on their way to school.
We want to assure everyone that the student is okay and is now at home resting. The family appreciates the calls, messages, and positive thoughts.
As a precautionary reminder, we’d like to emphasize the importance of safety when traveling to and from school. Please take a moment to talk with your children about safe practices, including:
• Using designated crosswalks
• Looking both ways before crossing
• Staying alert and avoiding distractions
• Wearing helmets when riding bikes
• Following traffic signals and signs
In addition, a parent volunteer has offered to help monitor the crosswalks on Jackson Blvd before and after school for the remainder of the school year.
Our students’ safety is our top priority, and we truly appreciate your partnership in reinforcing these important habits.
