Today we were able to honor those who have died in service to this country. Thanks to Fleet Farm for hosting TAPS across America and remembering those who gave all for our freedoms.

On Saturday, May 16 our Color Guard was privileged to support the South Dakota America Pageant.

Thanks to the Cadets that came out and conducted the Color Guard. (Cadets, Herman - Engel, Houska, Kraemer, Stewart, Steinback, and Rivas.)

2025-2026 JROTC Annual Awards Ceremony! So many of our Cadets did such a phenomenal job this year in the program, and it was great to recognize those who really stood out this year.

A huge thanks to our families for standing behind these Cadets and to the agencies that came out to support our program!

2026 Black Hills Raider Challenge!

We hosted 16 schools and over 20 teams for our annual Raider meet. The competition was tough but we managed to place third for the obstacle course.

Our teams did a fantastic job out there and we couldn’t be more proud of them. We can’t wait to fire things back up next year.

Thanks to Mr. Bussell from the Rapid City Fire Department for stopping by to talk about opportunities with their Fire Cadet program.

Interested families and students going into their Junior or Senior year should stop by Station 1 on Monday, May 11th at 6 pm to learn more.

The LET 1 Cadets completed the final uniform inspections for the 25 - 26 SY. They have come a long way.

Cheyenne Raider! This was a non-traditional event that we attended for the first time. Events included the Wall Sit, Flexed Arm Hang, Air Rifle Stress Shoot, Floor Hockey, Tug of War, and an obstacle course.

We also had the opportunity to visit the Wyoming State Capitol where we received a guided tour and got to pilot their interactive civics lab.

Updated: Our Cadets did a great job out there and took 2nd on the Obstacle Course! We will be building on this momentum in preparation for our home meet on May 9th.

Congrats to Cadets Vincent Austin and Kanin Booth for earning the CTE Pathway to Excellence Award at the district’s Evening of Excellence event!

Last weekend we competed at the Sioux Falls Lincoln Drill Meet.

Congratulations to Cadet Vincent Austin on winning 2nd Place in the Spartan Fitness Challenge.

Our LET 1 (JV) Color Guard took 3rd place.
