Meet Our New Staff: Kaleb Cropper!

Please join us in welcoming Kaleb Cropper to the Rangely School District!

Kaleb is joining the Rangely Jr./Sr. High School team as our new High School English Teacher.

Originally from Douglas, Wyoming, Kaleb is a recent college graduate and earned his bachelor’s degree in May. He completed his student teaching at a middle school in Casper, Wyoming, and is excited to begin his teaching career here in Rangely!

When asked what he is most excited about, Kaleb shared that he is looking forward to meeting the students and making a difference in their lives. We are excited to have an educator who is ready to build relationships, inspire students, and make an impact!

A fun fact about Kaleb: he graduated college with Mr. Prince! 🎓

Outside of the classroom, Kaleb enjoys basketball, football, and soccer. And when it comes to food, you can’t go wrong with either steak or spaghetti!

Welcome to Rangely, Mr. Cropper! We are excited to have you join the Panther family and wish you an amazing first year!

Meet Our New Staff: Camille “Cammie” Hill!

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Hill to the Rangely School District as our new Title I Literacy Teacher!

Cammie will be working with kindergarten students at EEC and 1st–5th grade students at Parkview. She brings an incredible 30+ years of teaching experience and a true passion for helping students become confident, capable readers.

Originally from Collbran, Colorado, Cammie was born and raised in Iowa and has called Colorado home since 1986. She has taught students from PreK through 8th grade in a variety of settings, including Title I literacy and math, elementary classrooms, multi-age classrooms, middle school ELA and social studies, literacy and math intervention, and gifted and talented education. She also has experience providing private tutoring for students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.

Cammie holds a Master’s in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Elementary Education from Western Colorado University, along with specialized certification in dyslexia instruction.

When asked what she is most excited about this school year, Cammie shared:

“I am excited to spend another year working with students. Together we will unravel the mysteries and obstacles that make reading difficult or less inviting.”

Her classroom philosophy centers on making students feel safe, supported, and valued while maintaining high expectations. She believes learning should be fun and engaging, and that every student deserves compassion, trust, and grace as they work through their individual challenges.

Outside of school, Cammie enjoys spending time with her husband and 8 grandchildren on their ranch. She loves traveling and camping, walking her dogs, crafting, board games, kayaking, pickleball, golf, playing piano, and reading.

And here’s a fun fact you may not expect… Cammie’s favorite snack is crunchy peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches!

She and her sister also take a 4–6 week camping trip every summer, exploring national and state parks and traveling throughout the country. They’ve camped on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and have even dipped their toes in all five Great Lakes!

Please join us in giving Cammie Hill a warm Panther welcome!

Cammie, we are so excited to have you join the Rangely Panther community and can’t wait to see the difference you make for our students!

Parkview Elementary School will once again be implementing a School Supply Fee for the 2026–2027 school year for students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

No fee for preschool!

This fee helps cover the cost of your child’s school supplies and their Tech Fee, making it more convenient and affordable for families while ensuring teachers have the materials students need in the classroom.

💵 School Supply Fee: $50 per student

📅 Due Date: September 15, 2026

Parents/guardians will only need to provide a backpack and lunchbox if your child plans to bring a cold lunch.

If you have students enrolled at EEC, Parkview Elementary, and Rangely Jr./Sr. High School, fees are paid separately at the appropriate building. Families with three or more children enrolled in the district may qualify for a discounted Tech Fee. Please contact the Parkview office for the amount owed for your Parkview students.

💳 Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card.

If your family is experiencing financial hardship, please contact the Parkview Elementary School office at 970-675-2267.

Thank you for helping us make sure our Panthers have the supplies they need for a successful school year!

Yesterday was quite a day at our home golf tournament! We started the morning with a two-hour delay thanks to an unexpected visitor—a black bear hanging out in the tree next to the putting green!

A huge thank-you to our local PD and DOW for responding to the scene and helping safely relocate our furry visitor. We also want to give a special shoutout to Ducey’s Electric for providing a lift on short notice to help get the bear out of the tree. We truly appreciate everyone who helped get the tournament back underway!

Once we finally got on the course, it was a breakout day for sophomore Gage Prater, who fired an impressive 74 (+2) to finish 2nd overall!

Bryson Elam also had a great round, shooting a 77 (+5) and finishing 4th overall!

The rest of our Panthers faced challenges but kept competing hard and battled all day long. Their efforts helped the team finish tied for 2nd place overall!
