11 years ago today, Believe in Me became official and our co-founders celebrated with a toast of one of their favorite sweet treats. In 2015 we had a BIG wish of creating a space where children and families felt supported, cared for, and truly seen. YOU have helped us to make this a reality.

We are forever grateful to our families, friends, and the entire Believe in Me community. The beautiful friendships we have built along the way mean more to us than we can say. Cheers to you for making these 11 years 🧁sweeter🧁 than we could have ever imagined!

We are very excited to announce Team Believe in Me is now LIVE for the upcoming Northern NJ Autism Speaks Empower Walk + 5k Run!
The Empower Walk + 5k Run will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19th at the Meadowlands Racetrack.
There are lots of ways you can participate, even if you aren’t able to attend!
1. If you can join us, walk with us (or run the 5k if you’re so inclined!)

2. Join our team
Even if you can’t walk with us, we’d love for you to register for our team and spread the word about our efforts!

3. Share our information
We would love for you to share our info to let everyone know we are involved!

4. Create your own team
You don’t need to join Team Believe in Me - you can start your own team!

5. Donate to the team
You are NOT OBLIGATED nor expected to donate to Team Believe in Me! We are not soliciting donations from our families or staff nor do we expect that you will donate. This is never a demand and is completely up to you!

We hope you can join us for this fun and family friendly event - as an added incentive, our lovely pups from Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs will be there as well!

Please join us in welcoming Miss Sydney to the Believe in Me team!
Sydney is currently enrolled in William Paterson University studying psychology and exercise science and plans to become an occupational therapist. Sydney found her passion for supporting individuals with disabilities as a child when joined her mother (a special education teacher) for Bring Your Child to Work Day. She has worked with children with special needs of all ages in numerous capacities for the past 5 years as a daycare aide, in-home ABA practitioner, and as a volunteer at a camp for children with special needs and heart conditions. Sydney is excited to be a part of the team and to see her children continue to grow in their skills!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Rocking Horse Rehab for hosting our kiddos and families today! Our children had a wonderful time brushing, walking, and feeding the horses. We appreciated the opportunity to learn all about our equine friends and can’t wait to come back!

Last month, we spoke with Ellen to share our philosophy of empowering children and families on every step of their journey. We discussed our strong focus on social skills and our continuous goal of ensuring every child receives personalized support from their very first day. All we can say is: THANK YOU!!! Believe in Me was nominated for ELEVEN (🥳🥳🥳) nominations for the New Jersey FamilyFavorite Kids’ Doc’s list this year. Every single eligible team member was nominated, a true testament to their exceptional skills and dedication. It means the world to us to be nominated by our families and we cannot thank you enough for this honor. With all you do and the schedules you manage, you were generous enough to take the time to celebrate your practitioners. You are incredible! We are forever and eternally grateful! Thank you!!!!!
