🌟 BIG NEWS FROM REGIONAL CONSOLIDATED SERVICES! 🌟

Good afternoon, County Commissioners and Community Partnership Members!

Regional Consolidated Services (RCS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Shanika Alston as our new Head Start Director. Shanika brings extensive experience, dedication, and a strong commitment to the mission of Head Start and Early Head Start. Having served in a leadership role within RCS, she has developed a deep understanding of our program, our staff, and—most importantly—the children and families we serve throughout Alamance and Randolph counties.

Shanika came to work with us in July of 2009. Throughout her time with RCS, Shanika has demonstrated a strong commitment to program quality, school readiness, staff development, regulatory compliance, and collaborative leadership. Her knowledge of Head Start programming and her established relationships within our agency provide valuable continuity as she assumes this important leadership role.

As Head Start/Early Head Start Director, Shanika will provide leadership and oversight for RCS’s Head Start and Early Head Start programs while continuing to strengthen our partnerships with families, schools, community organizations, service providers, and other stakeholders who help us fulfill the Head Start mission.

Our community partnerships are an essential part of the comprehensive services we provide to children and families. We greatly value the relationships we have built throughout Alamance and Randolph counties and look forward to Shanika continuing and expanding those collaborative efforts.

We are proud to recognize Shanika’s professional growth within our organization and are confident in her ability to lead our Head Start and Early Head Start programs into their next chapter.
