Join us on a historical tour of kathak, a dance form that has captivated audiences for centuries. From its ancient roots to its global presence, experience the dynamic world of kathak through its ever changing history which molded the sound, movement, and presence of kathak as we see it today.

YATRA: Presenting the Bhakti Bhav Dance 9th annual recital and celebrating 10yrs since our school started its first class and opened an avenue for connecting students and families with this beautiful art.

I’m often focused with working on them, not with them. Lots of fun on our latest project. Always looking for a balance to connect, inspire, and discipline my dancers without seeming too motherly and lecturing. Always a work in progress when it comes to growing as a teacher.

They may be as tall as me (or taller!) but they are forever my sweet kathak kiddos. 🥰

BBD Elite this year.
Lots of rhythms, footwork, spins, and clapping, what every kathak dancer enjoys.
Each fall we only get 6-8 weeks to prepare a brand new piece for the year depending on when our first Diwali event is scheduled. So these girls crunched this piece out in a very short time! There is always going to be refining and improving needed in any new choreography, but I think these dancers really made a splash with it
