Rehearsals, Riyaaz, Recreation - New York edition!

Re-living our amazing experience of New York Kathak Festival and the memories made in dance, learning, performing, and having lots of fun.

These dancers worked so hard, understood the assignment, and we gave BBD a well earned place at NYKF.

I am so proud of them and so grateful to the festival for giving us this chance to showcase our work and add to the diverse and talented artistry we witnessed. Your platform uplifted us all. I still cannot express in words the depth of my joy.

I hope to keep pushing all my students ahead and forge more opportunities, taking BBD to new heights.

We also had the honor of meeting Janaki Patrik who shared great anecdotes on her experiences in a lifetime of dancing.

This art so wholly fulfills my heart ♥️

Transition fun 💃🏻

Who needs a social media manager when you have teens who can make reels in a snap hehe!

Best part of performing at was giving these young girls an experience to remember. After two full days of workshops and presentations they still brought their young fresh energy backstage and to the show.

So grateful to Kathak Festival for believing in us and giving these hard working teens a chance to present on the big stage. 🙏🏽

Jhoom Le, Has Bol Le - live life to the fullest. The best part of this experience was teaching the piece to these young teens, and hoping they could grasp and portray the beauty of the lyrics and mood. They 100% did ❤️
