The office has been deep cleaned and I have been busy planning a fun summer for my students this last week.

When I open for summer on Monday, I am excited to show my in-person students the exclusive summer prizes.

An independent 2023 analysis from Teaching By Science / Pedagogy Non Grata took a close look at EBLI and speech-to-print instruction.

The takeaway?

EBLI received a 10/10 qualitative grade, with the reviewer noting that EBLI contains the essential types of literacy instruction and is especially strong for older struggling readers.

The analysis also highlighted EBLI’s speech-to-print approach, where instruction begins with spoken language and helps students connect sounds to the spellings that represent them.

That matters because English is flexible, and students need instruction that helps them understand the code without being overloaded by rules, exceptions, and unnecessary complexity.
