The Common Application Announces 2016-2017 Essay Prompts The Common Application has announced that the 2016-2017 personal statement essay prompts will be the same as the 2015-2016 prompts.

Essay season is well under way and many students looking to apply to the UC's get "stuck" on the essay prompts. One recurring theme I hear from admission officers is that students do not fully answer the prompts. They do a great job of writing about "the world they come from" but stay in the past.
