Did your student tell you about Baba The Storyteller’s assembly? It was wonderful! Baba, held the kids’ attention so well, and had excellent messages for them about being careful what we say when we are angry, always seeing the best in people, and always telling the truth in a positive way - not just what we think people want to hear. He taught these lessons in a way that incorporated African culture. He played a very interesting traditional musical instrument from Africa while telling these stories and taught the kids some African phrases and songs. He spoke about respecting our elders and listening with our eyes and our hearts, not just our ears. The kids had excellent questions for him at both assemblies that showed they were paying attention and so many kids ran up to him after the assemblies to ask more questions and meet him.

Happy National Special Education Day! On December 2, 2025, we honor the signing of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This is a very special year, celebrating 50 years of inclusion. We want to give a huge thank you to all the incredible teachers, advocates, and support staff who work tirelessly to ensure every student reaches their full potential. Your dedication to special education is changing lives every day.
