A few fun memories from ’96 📸 30 years ago

We are saddened to share that Coach Jim Reames passed away in February 2026. Coach Reames served as an assistant varsity basketball coach at SMCHS alongside Coach Jerry Debusk for nearly a decade beginning around 2001. Prior to that, he was the longtime head basketball coach at Foothill High School in Tustin for about 20 years.

Coach Reames made a lasting impact on the many players and families he coached throughout his career. Our thoughts are with the Reames family and all who knew him.

We remember and celebrate the life of Bonnie Elizabeth Wilkinson (1939–2026), a cherished former school counselor at Santa Margarita Catholic High School in the 1990s who guided and supported so many students.

Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor on Saturday, March 21 at 12:00 PM at The Barn, 6971 Airline Highway in Tres Pinos, CA, in the Santa Cruz area, to celebrate a life beautifully lived.
