There’s some truth to an old saying, “a son is a son til he finds a wife but a daughter is a daughter all of her life.” Tho my boys bring me immense pride and joy, there was a feeling I’ll never forget when I found out we were having a girl. Matched only by hearing our girl was having a girl. And here she is! Born this Lord’s Sunday morning (on Labor Day wknd no less) Meet Ruthie Rose Lemings, and blessed addition to Seth and Annie’s lovely family & grandchild number six! Are you kidding me! Completely over the moon! Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Cheering my buddy on this morning for his incredible run and huge accomplishment making it thru to the FINALS of the Olympic Skateboarding competition!!! He skates for the Canadian Team but make no mistake this guy is Team Jesus all the way and true ambassador of heaven to his sport and to the world. Finals in thirty minutes let’s all tune in and cheer Cordano on!!!

Building to Last …
We have so enjoyed this family bonding time to rest and invest, and to play and to cherish each other’s company. Bikes and BBQ’s, the Lake and long walks in the Beauty of the Lord’s creation; I’m certain I’ve learned more of God and His love thru this amazing family and the childlike faith of these five precious grandkids than I suspect they’ve ever learned from me. Can’t quite wrap my head around how fast time flies, seems yesterday it was my own kids I was hauling around and now it’s the kid’s kids I’m trying to keep up with. Truly, no greater joy! To be intentional about family, about agreed upon goals and certain about being on page with each other and with the Lord is definitely time well invested. Love how EP puts Psalm 127 “If God doesn’t build the house, the builders only build shacks. If God doesn’t guard the city, the night watchman might as well nap. It’s useless to rise early and go to bed late, and work your worried fingers to the bone. Don’t you know He enjoys giving rest to those He loves? Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift? The fruit of the womb His generous legacy? Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth. Oh how blessed are you parents with your quivers full of children! Your enemies don’t stand a chance against you; you’ll sweep them right off your doorstep.” ❤️

Yesterday we said farewell here on this earth to our mom, our grandma and our great grandma and friend and rejoice that the agony of her decade battle with Parkinson’s is behind her as she woke released in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus and was welcomed with great fanfare onto heavens shores! And tho we miss her terribly and nothing or no one will ever replace her, we grieve in victory knowing that she is Home, healed, happy and having her best day ever! We love you mom and we can’t wait to see you again and celebrate all that your faith is blessed to enjoy. Thank you for giving us your best and instill in us such a strong faith and prayer life and save us seats, we all wanna sit right next to you! Much love and gratitude! Rejoicing in the Supreme Court reversal of one of our nations greatest wrongs. Grateful praise to God and the conscious led courage of our Supreme Court Justices of which we pray for
their protection. Life is sacred. Life is precious. Life should forever be protected. Jesus said: "I have come to give you life and life abundantly." May this be the case for the future of millions of babies, parents and families.
