✨Happy Fall✨ One of the things I miss most about teaching yoga is sharing my intention for class, it was always a reflection of my personal practice. I love to acknowledge the path of the moon 🌙 and the change of the seasons 🍂🍁 it’s such a great reminder that we’re always shifting and evolving. In past classes at this time of year I’ve shared the story of La Loba 🐺

Women Who Run With the Wolves*
By Clarissa Pinkola Estes
There is woman they call the Bone Woman who collects bones of animals throughout the desert. Her primary search is for the bones of a wolf. Once she collects the entire skeleton in her cave, she begins to sing. The wolf begins to flesh out, she continues to sing. The wolf grows hair and features, still she sings. The wolf stands up complete and alive and takes off running out of her cave. She still continues to sing and eventually the wolf turns into a person and runs laughing into the horizon of the moonlight. 🌕💫 The moral of the story is that YOU are the bone woman. You spend your life collecting the missing pieces of yourself until you are complete. Only then your soul sings and you run laughing into the horizon. 🌄✨
I feel as though many around me are on a deep healing journey right now, searching for those missing pieces in an increasingly confusing world with so much unknown ahead of us. As we move into the quieter, more introspective season I’m leaning in my yoga practice more than ever to nurture this self discovery. I find clarity in my journal and on my mat, away from my phone. As much as I miss teaching yoga, it’s been a huge part of my life for 15 years, I don’t yet feel called to return. When the moment is right I will, whether it be virtually or in person. For now my focus is self care and quiet times with my family. Sending love to all who are riding the wave of change. (Aren’t we all?!) Onward!
