🎓 Senior Spotlight: Isolde Dows-Junge
Since joining Palm Valley School in 11th grade, Isolde Dows has quickly become a valued member of the Upper School community. She hopes to be remembered for her curiosity and passion for the sciences, always approaching learning with enthusiasm and a desire to explore deeper questions about the natural world.
Isolde describes PVS in three words: supportive, tight-knit, and exciting — a place where she found both academic encouragement and a strong sense of community. During her time at PVS, she immersed herself in both academics and activities. She participated in AP Biology, where she not only studied the subject but also served as an assistant teacher, helping support other students in their learning. She is also a member of CSF (California Scholarship Federation) and contributed behind the scenes as a Stage Manager in the drama department.
Beyond the classroom, Isolde especially enjoys the many community traditions that bring students together, including Halloween Night, the Fall Festival, and Nest events, which highlight the spirit and connection within the PVS community.
Looking ahead, Isolde hopes to attend Yale University, where she plans to pursue her dream of becoming a vertebrate paleobiologist. With her curiosity, dedication to science, and passion for discovery, there is no doubt she will continue exploring the mysteries of the natural world.
Isolde, thank you for bringing your curiosity, leadership, and love of learning to Palm Valley School. We are proud of you and excited to see where your scientific journey takes you!
