The first shipment of Firehouse Sergeants by Nick Palumbo Jr has arrived in the bookstore at Red Helmet Training. This is a great read with leadership insight from a senior firefighter perspective. Even as I was reading it for the book publishing aspect I can tell you that even as a Captain for 17 years there were dozens of tips that I took away from reading it. Nick is a well spoken firefighter and understands how to be an author. It made our job as a book publishing company easy and it did not require Judy Glick-Smith our editor to earn her money.
Firefighters, grab this book and start reading. Company Officers, grab a copy for the firefighter on your crew to make them better and make your job easier. Chiefs, buy copies for Christmas in July gifts. It is well worth it and the return of investment is in the writing.
If you are in California we will have Nick out for a program on this topic and a book signing event on August 14th. We will also be doing one in New Jersey in a few months. So awesome.
