My experience in working with children spans over 20 years, with my first job as an assistant at an in-home-daycare in Upland. I have worked in two different preschool settings as a teacher and also as enrollment coordinator in Corona del Mar and Newport Beach. I have spent time with prominent families in the Orange County area as a nanny and I have babysat for over 70 families between Orange County and San Diego. Most of the families I worked for came through a babysitting agency I worked for during 3 years of college. Others came through referrals from the preschool, referrals and friends. I grew up in Upland and my journey took me all over (Newport Beach, Georgia, Newport Beach, La Jolla and know Rancho Cucamonga). I come from a family of five siblings and now an aunt to three nephews and a niece on the way. In my spare time I enjoy working out at the Claremont Club, yoga and walks. I am married to Dr. Brian Wegley and we have one dog, Riley. I am also a volunteer in the Starfish Ministry at Hillside church in Rancho. A ministry that support families through foster and adoption. I couldn't be more thrilled to open my doors to the families in the area to serve and teach our young children.

My heart can’t even hold all of the joy from what this night brought.

On July 9th our school was violated and what the enemy meant for evil God turned for His glory! Having Harmony, Brooke and Chris come to our campus was such an incredible gift beyond words. They prayed and led worship with our school families. Hillside showed up for us. God showed up for us. The kids ran around and played while we sang. God you showed up for us. Thank you Lord - I know you will show up again and again and again because this is your school.

This was more than an event it was a celebration. A beautiful night, celebrating a beautiful loving God.

As for those boys. You are being prayed over now, more than ever. God loves you, forgives you.

After our preschool was broken into on July 9, our school community surrounded us with prayers, donations, encouragement, and so much love. We are deeply thankful for each and every one of you.

What was meant for harm has become an opportunity to glorify God for His faithfulness and goodness. Nothing was irreplaceable, no permanent damage was done, and we have seen His hand at work every step of the way..

A few weeks ago, Harvey, our bear, was stolen. We had him for 9 years, and while he was just a cement bear, he held a lot of sentimental value. Harvey originally lived in Brian’s grandmother’s garden, and after she passed away, we brought him with us to serve as our door holder and greeter.

He had been with us since the very beginning of OTDS—through three different houses and now our current location, where we’ve been for the past four years.

This morning, the families of our school surprised us with a new bear. We are so grateful for their kindness and thoughtfulness. While Harvey can never truly be replaced, this sweet gesture means so much to us and reminds us how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring community.

Now he needs a name! :)

We had a Play Dough Valentine’s Party! 💘✨

If you’ve been to our school around Valentine’s Day, you’ve probably experienced the magic of Ms. Lizette’s play dough.

It’s easy to make, SO fun to play with, and the smell. 😍

A perfect Valentine’s craft for little hands and big imaginations.✨💕

2 cups of flour
2 cups of water
Whisk
Add 4 tsp cream of tartar , 2/3 cup salt, 2
tablespoon vegetable oil
Mix
Heat over medium heat heat and fold until cooked

✨ OTDS Christmas Performance Day✨

Our little school had a beautiful day celebrating the birth of Jesus and pausing to reflect on just how blessed we are. ❤️🎄 I stand in awe of the work He has done—and continues to do—at OTDS. Sharing this special time with our school families made it even sweeter. We are truly blessed. ✨🙏

Teacher Prep Week is Complete!🍎

Our campus has been incredibly blessed this week as we prepared for the new school year. From meetings and CPR training to deep cleaning and prayer walks, every moment has been filled with purpose and community. We ended the week with our Meet the Teacher event, and it was truly heartwarming to connect with our new families and see our school come back to life after the summer break. We’re ready and excited for the year ahead!
