First Steps – Early Education & Child Care is passionate about children succeeding in school and life. Being ready for school and excited about learning is one of my top priorities. Social-Emotional Development - Your child will enjoy childcare in a safe, home away from home. They will learn to express themselves and to respect the needs of others. Having fun being ourselves is our goal! Language

Arts - Children will learn literacy by engaging in meaningful experiences with books and follow-up activities in a well-planned academic preschool program. I have partnered with other pre-school/child care providers and elementary school teachers to develop my curriculum. Your child will have an opportunity to have many books read to them. They will also be able to participate in a guided literacy-based preschool program. Math & Science Skills - Through guided experiences, your child will learn beginning math skills: sorting and matching things and understanding relational words like small, medium, and large. Children love to learn to describe, compare, and measure things. They will also learn about many animals and habitats, health concepts, and how to experiment. Arts & Crafts - Children love to get hands on. We will be doing arts and crafts related to the letter of the week, numbers, stories we are reading, themes and crafts that are just plain fun. Through our crafts your child will learn how to use scissors, hold pencils correctly, paint and be creative. Play Play Play – The most important part of being a child is having time to just play. Your child will be able to work on social interaction and imaginative play both indoors and outdoors. Children love playing with our kitchen, light table and outdoor play equipment!
