Cordova High class of 1982 reunion information

We have our date and some details ready now!! Friday Sept 30, 2022 will be our picnic at Hagan Community Park-details to follow but it will be a bring your own food/beverages and is open to all alumni and their families (focusing on 1980-1984 but honestly, it's a park-so anyone can attend right?). Saturday October 1, 2022 will be at the Marriot in Rancho out on the veranda from 6-11 and will include a no host bar, a Taco Bar, potato bar and sliders. Hopefully this will be a bit less expensive but I will get an idea of the cost and get back to everyone. Sunday is TBD. SOOO... at least we have the dates so everyone can make sure to get it on their calendar for a trip to Rancho next fall. The school hasn't gotten back to me so I sure HOPE this is the same weekend as Homecoming but will just need to wait and see. Does anyone know, though if the games are on Friday or Saturday during the day? We were trying to aim for the game so we could attend and show support as fellow alumni :) Anyhow-I'll be in touch again soon with more details and the cost for Saturday. I do know that the more people who attend it, the cheaper the tickets will be (hint hint). If you want to shoot me a note to let me know if you will for sure be there, that is fine too.

The reunion committee will be meeting next week to put plans together. We will be setting up a way to put down deposits towards your tickets once we have details. Please keep watch of this site, the group site and your email-and if you haven't already done so be sure to send me your email address. Also reminde others from 1980-1984 that they are invited too-they can PM me or ask to join the group site by answering all the questions. See you in 2022!!

It looks like we will be planning something for maybe Sept-Oct 2022? How does that sound? Any objections please let me know otherwise I'm going to start looking at places. Also it sounds like everyone would like a variety of choices-so does the Friday picnic, Saturday evening event/dinner and maybe Sunday ??? Suggestions... Do we want the Saturday night at a hotel again or somewhere else that will fit a potentially larger crowd as we are offering it to the classes of 1980-1984?

I was recently informed that another classmate, Deborah Mahannah, also had passed away in 2013. I will also upload her picture to the memorial book (after the holidays, I need to find my CD with the pictures on it). 😪
