We’ll be there to answer your questions on farrier education. We are also a Career and Education Center Exploration stop. Stop by MN School of Horseshoeing, booth 710 in the exhibition hall for the scavenger hunt.

We’re busy getting ready for our Spring Clinic.
This year will be another great one featuring Mr. Carl Via, CJF. He will be discussing fitting the foot in the morning and then building efficiency with trimming and forging in the afternoon.
Friday March 27th. We’ll be providing a spaghetti lunch. One red sauce with venison and a vegetarian white sauce for Lent.

In Loving Memory of Walter E. Taylor, CF
1933–2025

The AFA is deeply saddened to share the passing of our Founder and Past President (1978–1986), Walt Taylor, who passed away last night.

Walt’s legacy within our profession is truly unparalleled. His vision, leadership, and lifelong dedication helped shape the farrier industry and the Association we are today. His impact will be felt for generations to come.

We will be honoring Walt in the months ahead and during our upcoming Convention. In the meantime, we invite you to share your photos, stories, and memories of Walt here as we celebrate a life that meant so much to so many.

We’re having a SURPISE retirement/appreciation party for Blair Rains. He finally shod his last horse last week.
Sunday, October 26 from 11-2 at Phoenix Event Center in Baldwin, WI.
Farriers, veterinarians, clients and friends are all invited.
No gifts please but if you do feel the need, he does love reading books.
We would love to see you all pop in for a bit and say hello to Blair.

This will be an outstanding event to get to!
