**PLEASE NOTE** our volunteer interest AND Room Parent interest forms are up on our website! You can add your name to any activity or fundraising event you wish to be a part of (note that some events are by grade level) and a PTO board member will reach out with more information prior to each event. Also note that the Room Parent form is interest only at this time, meaning selections will be made in September, after which those interested will be contacted either way.

Welcome to the WORLD of Derek Anderson

Author/illustrator Derek Anderson visited our school this May -- it was our first in-person author visit in two years! He gave a thoughtful presentation to our kids about believing in yourself and following your heart. He also toured Tisdale school to admire the artwork the kids had made with his books as inspiration. Check out the home page of his website to see some examples. It seems as much of an impression as these author visits can make on our kids, our kids can also leave impressions on the authors. 🥰

Welcome to the WORLD of Derek Anderson My last school visit of the 2021-22 school year was in May at Breck here in the Twin Cities. These kids love reading and books! They’re beginning to write as well, so my presentation focused a bit more on stories, what they are and how I actually put them together.

“And they’re off!” Yesterday’s third grade Grandfriends Tea was truly something special. After two+ years of a performance hiatus, this usually yearly event was quite emotionally charged. How wonderful to see smiles on faces young and old as we celebrated our graduating class with an event masterfully orchestrated by music teacher Mrs. Campbell, with the amazing efforts of PTO parents literally setting the scene. Thank you to all for your time and energy to make this happen for our kids and families! From donations to volunteering, every piece of the puzzle is needed to make special memories like this. We are so lucky to have each and every one of you in our Tisdale family. Special thanks to the talented Mrs. Campbell for making it all look so easy! And hats off to Tin Can Confections + Cocktails for the creative derby-inspired treats! ❤️ 💙 💛

Exhibit Night was a great success!! So wonderful to see so many Tisdale families sharing in their children’s classroom life. Thank you to the teachers for helping our kids prepare presentations, art, and personal notes to their families. It’s great to be back in the school together!

We’ll keep the celebration going with tomorrow’s in-school Spring Fun Day! This one is for the kids. We hope they enjoy a day of extra outside time, playtime with each other, and good old fashioned FUN! Please make sure your child is dressed comfortably, brings a towel to sit on, and is wearing sunscreen. Can’t wait!

ICYMI there was an awesome STEAM assembly last week! The gym was transformed into a hands-on STEAM museum where our kids had fun learning through engagement. Thanks, Mobile Ed for visiting!
