🐮Recap: Farm🐮
🖌️Art:
✨ We had lots of fun gluing together tractors, cows and gluing cotton balls on sheep. We also fork painted chickens, handprint chickens and marble painted muddy pigs.

📖Story Time:
✨ Our favorite books were Old MacDonald, Farmer in the Dell, Maisy Morning on the Farm, Little Blue Truck, Big Red Barn, Giggle, Giggle, Quack, Sheep in a Jeep, I want to be a Farmer.

✋Sensory Play:
✨ We had fun pretending to "milk" cows!

🐷 Our two oldest preschool rooms had a fun field trip, walking to Elmcrest Park. The kids had lots of fun running around and playing on the playground!

🚔Recap: Community Helpers🚔

🖌️Art:
✨ We had lots of fun painting fire trucks, garbage trucks, gluing together a chef, an ambulance and making name construction cones. We also made foot print police and fire trucks. The children also colored a police hat.

📖Story Time:
✨ Our favorite books were I Want to be a Police Officer, Stir, Crack,Whisk,Bake, Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site, Clothesline Clues to Jobs People Do, Here Come the Helpers, I Want to Work in a Hospital.

✋Sensory Play:
✨ We had fun making floam creations.

🚨We had a very special in-house field trip. The Ramsey Police Department came and the children learned all about the police cars and the police uniforms. They also were able to sit and explore inside the police cars!

✨ We had lots of fun gluing together s'mores, name campfires, lanterns, painting fires, making handprint campfires and watercolor painting campers.

📖Story Time:
✨ Our favorite books were Pete the Cat Goes Camping, Maisy Goes Camping, The Camping Trip, Goodnight Campsite, Llama Llama loves camping and Campfire songs.

✋Sensory Play:
✨ We had fun making making playdoh creations and painting with our hands!

🌲 The kids had lot of fun discussing all the different activities you can do when camping. They even got to play with flashlights and pretend they were camping with our camping dramatic play set!

Today, we honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom in the United States. Their courage and love for our nation do not go unnoticed and will always be remembered.

At LEC, we are honored to have the freedom to love, grow, and play each day. As our families enjoy the holiday weekend, we hope everyone can take a moment to recognize the true meaning of Memorial Day.

✨ We had lots of fun gluing together bumble bees, and lady bugs, watercolor painting dragonflies, fingerprint bug jars, painting butterflies, making a handprint grasshopper, and making smash print butterflies.

✨ Our favorite books were The Itsy Bitsy Spider, Pete the Cat and the Cool Caterpillar, Walters Web, I'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee, I Love Bugs, Where's the Ladybug?

✨ We had fun making playdoh creations and playing in our bug sensory bins.

🐛We had a fun in-house field trip, Bruce the Bug Guy came and taught us all about different types of insects. He even brought some insects for the children to touch and hold! The kids love when Bruce visits!

✨ We had lots of fun painting lily-pads and water lilys, making tissue paper turtles, gluing together ducks, making paper plate frogs, and watercolor fish.

✨ Our favorite books were Dawdle Duckling, Five Green and Speckled Frogs, Wide Mouth Fish, Ten Little Fish, Little Critters- Just A Day At The Pond, and Pond Babies.

✨ We had fun playing making chalk creations and playing in our Pond sensory bins

💜 We had a special in-house field trip this week, the Anoka Kindness Rock Garden came to share all about how to spread kindness and they brought rocks for each child to paint!

✨ We had lots of fun painting with flowers, making a paper plate spring theme twirler, footprint carrots, painting with broccoli, making name tulips, fingerprint strawberries, painting a watering can, gluing together a caterpillar and so much more!

✨ Our favorite books were Farmers Market, My Mommy and Me, Planting a Rainbow, The Flower Thief, The Little Gardner, The Tiny Seed, How Things Grow, and My Garden.

✋Sensory Play:
✨ We had fun playing in our garden theme sensory bins and playing with our sensory bags!

🌼 The kids had lots of fun discussing all the different things that grow in gardens. We also talked about how we can take care of our gardens and how some insects help our gardens grow.
