Hurricane Helene North Carolina Court Information:

Western counties affected by Hurricane Helene have extended deadlines pursuant to a September 29, 2024, order of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina extending deadlines in court matters that would have occurred between the period between September 26, 2024, to October 14, 2024 have been extended to October 14, 2024. On October 14, a federal court decided that the new DACA regulation is unlawful, but the court prohibits the government from granting initial DACA applications only. The decision will likely be appealed. Current DACA recipients continue to retain their deportation relief, employment authorization, and eligibility to file for DACA renewal.
