Good Evening Parents,

Best words ever following a Snow Day, "Daycare is Open". We will be opening up at 9:00 am.

There are still a bunch of patchy ice pockets ... so please be aware. The Center drive-thru has another rough patch of snow and ice when you pull through the drive lane. Please be slow coming around the curve.

We will plan on having a staff member for Wake County Students as well. If you need care for your afterschool kid, please message us through the app (there are limited spaces available).

No we will not be serving Breakfast Tuesday Morning.

Hey parents,
Even though the roads are better in the Raleigh (dry zone), staffing is our biggest issue since a majority live in the areas that have been affected with more snow. I hate to close, but I think we will have to due to being short staffed. Our plan is to be back Tuesday.

Children’s Discovery Center will be closed on Monday, January 26th.

Wanted to let you know that CDC will be open tomorrow despite Wake County schools closing. We will be monitoring the weather and we might make a decision to close early.

If your child is a Wake County student, please check back in the morning to see if we have the staff to cover ASC. We have reached out to our substitute staff and should know by morning.

It seems the sun does with the sun usually does, meaning it melted a lot of the roadways. CDC will be open tomorrow. We are going to do a soft opening meaning please allow our opening staff an extra 30 minutes to get in to school so we will officially open the doors at 7:30 in the morning. Expect more staff to arrive around 8 am.

There is one icy spot in the parking lot when you come into the turn lane. We have thrown some salt on it, but please be cautious coming around that curve.

We are going to officially enjoy a Snow Day on Wednesday.

In an effort to help in the smallest of ways, Children’s Discovery Center is partnering with a local church to send Diapers and wipes to towns devastated by Hurricane Helene.

We will be collecting donations this week to send out next weekend. All donations will be collected in the Gym/Ballroom.

Thank you for your help in this time of need.

We will have a teacher available for Wake County school students.
Our Before and After School program get 1st priority.

Good Evening Parents,

We have checked the weather channels tonight and all of them have projected 5 to 7 inches of rain tomorrow with the possibility of 2 to 3 tornadoes. Given this prediction, we have decided to close for the safety of of our staff and our parents and children. We do not make this decision lightly and we are basing it on people who are professionals predicting weather. I’m sure it is a very difficult position for them to be in each time they have to tell us what to expect from something so unpredictable.

We hope everybody stays safe and we will plan on opening again on Friday.

Dear Parents,
Wake County Schools have closed. We will not have the Before or After School program open tomorrow.
We still plan on opening at normal time for all Preschool Programs (Young Babies to Older Fours).
