Children's Discovery Center has individualized programs for your convenience. We have a full time program, and a part time program. We have full time for parents working five days a week and a part time program for parents who do not need all week. They can choose to send their child one, two, three or four days based on availability. We also have a kindergarten class approved by Wake County Schoo
ls for children who may have missed the cut off date and could otherwise go to public schools. In addition, our classes all include a prepared lesson plan for all age groups during the entire day and the preschool program is included for all ages one through five during the morning hours. We also offer before and after school care, summer camp and an evening care program that is from 6:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The infant classes through the three year old classes are divided into four month age intervals. The four and five year old classes are divided into six month age intervals. This enables us to not only keep children in the appropriate class chronologically, but also academically. If the class you need is not available, we will be glad to place your name on a waiting list and call you when a space is available. We open at 7:00 a.m. and our day program ends at 6:00 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. the evening care program begins and parents who may be running late or caught in traffic will not have to worry about their child. We do ask that parents call to let us know that they are going to be past 6:00 p.m. so that we will have the correct amount of staff to care for the children. We have an open door policy at Children's Discovery Center. Parents can come and visit our center any time during the day without an appointment. Parents are also welcome anytime to help with crafts, read books, or observe their child interacting with the other children. We follow all NC State Guidelines for Day Care and work with each child to help them be successful during their formative years. At Children's Discovery Center, we strive to work not only with the children but with the parents to make this a family oriented program where we all work together for the good of the child.
