Since the morning of January 9, 2018, I’ve had no choice but to be intentional about my healing journey. A car accident left me with a traumatic brain injury and post- concussion syndrome, the repercussions of which I battle with every single day. No matter how good I am at my job, or how deeply I love and care for my husband and children, or how encouraging my words may be to others, I still have to do the work FOR MYSELF. I have to manage my symptoms and tend to my physical and mental health and trust in the truth of my experience even when others say “there can’t possibly be anything wrong with you. You seem perfectly fine.” I can’t stop doing the work. My life depends on it.
And neither can you, friend. Keep doing the work. Keep healing. Don’t waste time or energy justifying your journey to others. Focus on moving forward.

I believe that God always has a plan and a clear path for us. Our past failures don't define who we are going to become. You have a choice are you going to be the author or the illustrator in your life? Have faith in The Lord and keep moving on. Your story isn’t over it’s just beginning.

"An outward expression of my inward decision."
Whew, Today WE publicly said YES to HIM
I'm still on a spiritual high. Talk about divinely orchestrated.There are no words for the freedom, liberation, and light I feel. What a prestige honor to share such a remarkable moment with my baby girl. For weeks I've been planning my baptism not knowing her desires. This morning Adalynn said" mommy what about me I love God and Jesus and I want to go to heaven with you" So upon arrival to Focus Church, she registered and stood right beside me as we publicly made the most important decision for the most important relationship of our lives. Knowing that everyone must decide on their own time, I never pushed or forced this decision on either of my children. But today, we did it together! This was by far the best mommy and daughter date. We share a public declaration of our Savior Jesus Christ, a profound transformation walking into a new identity, and most importantly our sins were washed away making us new. I am blessed to say I experience unconditional love and overflowing grace EVERYDAY from my Lord and Savior no matter how short I fall. I just want to reflect his love and serve my purpose his way while on this earth. May God continue to allow me to be a vessel of light in the lives of others, and give me the wisdom and discernment, to live a fruitful life purpose. Now let me wipe my tears as we celebrate this new journey💕
