Sue's Sprouts We are an urban homestead homeschool supplement for newborns to 5 yo. We focus on play, gardening, exploration, art and environmental education.

Sample daily routine:

9 am
- As children arrive, free play and positive morning greetings while we await for all the students to arrive.
9:30 am
Outside play, animal care, watering the garden, harvesting and gardening time.
10 am
Circle time for discussion, observation, days of the week, calendar time, weather, feelings time.
10:30 am
Bathroom break, hygiene (hand washing) with a healthy snack p

11 am
Story time/refuel and re-energizing time
11:30 am
Back outside for seasonal activities and physical fitness with outdoor ART lesson
12 pm
Lunch, which children bring daily (after washing up)
12: 30
Free play (a different theme each day or week)
1:00 until 2 pm
Clean up, reflections, preparation for the coming days and projects, Q and A from the day's activities
(Closing circle time from 1:45 til 2)

- Activities vary based on seasons and weather
- Time changes according to summer months vs winter months could mean different activities.
- Writing and journaling activities available for kids 4 and up
- Assessment by Portfolio (upon request of parent)

I am a CPR and First Aid certified babysitter with over 20 years of experience, specializing in care for infants to pre-k children, and a passion for nurturing kids. As a mother of three and an art teacher for 10 years, I provide creative, engaging activities that inspire self-expression and learning through play. Additionally, I have been a Cub Scout leader for the past decade, emphasizing responsibility and independence through hands-on experiences. I am available for 10-20 hours of childcare weekly from 9 AM to 3 PM preferably T, Th. or M, W, F in downtown Raleigh—let me help you enjoy some well-deserved personal time!

We are happy to have the little sprouts back after our break. Started the day off by making some bread. We all work together and mixed it up and now it's taking a nap while it rises and later this afternoon we will share more pictures of us making shapes and baking it.
