It’s tempting to move past meltdowns and ignore our own messy moments after-the-fact. When we stop to reflect on hard moments, it helps our children learn self-trust and confidence.

Just like our children, we also have a limited capacity to take in advice or direction. If that’s you, you’re doing just great and we’re rooting for you! I’d you have just a tiny bit of space, here’s the TLDR summary— the best plan is to do less with less and do it as slowly as possible.

Are you drowning in stuff and feeling overwhelmed? Let your children know it’s time to create a “special spot” for their favorites and save some items for later.
