✨What a night! ✨💚 Thank you to all our Falcon families for showing up last Friday for a successful Back-to-School Night! 🦅 We loved connecting over delicious food and sweet treats served by our staff, fun on the inflatables, and big wins from our varsity volleyball team and soccer teams!

“As we gathered in such a large number last Friday for a night of food, fun, athletic competition, and fellowship, I couldn’t help but think of Deuteronomy 12:7: 'There also you and your households shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice in all your undertakings in which the LORD your God has blessed you.'" Mr. Walden shared.

"For me, this verse gives me a reminder of gathering with grateful hearts, enjoying the blessings of God, and rejoicing in fellowship with one another. It was such a joy and blessing to see everyone together, enjoy good food, cheer for our teams, and simply spend time getting to know one another.

From those I’ve known for only a few months to those I met for the very first time that night, it was a special evening of friendship and fellowship. And, of course, it was even more fun as we cheered on some of our Falcon teams to victory!”

💚💛Meeting new families, reconnecting with returning Falcons, welcoming back alumni, and fellowshipping with friends from Friendship Baptist Church, what a wonderful evening of community! 🫶 A huge thanks to everyone who helped out and made it happen!

✴️Let the games begin!✴️ The high school Houses are already locked in and vying for the House Championship! 🏆

Students will spend the entire school year earning points through mental and physical challenges, service projects, school spirit, and more. With the motto “𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.” the House System is designed to build community, drive student involvement, and foster teamwork through hands-on problem solving.

🏠During the first week of school, all freshmen and new students were sorted into their official Houses—their home base for the rest of their high school journey.

House names (Akili, Anima, Forte, and Kardia) are based on Luke 10:27: “And he said answering, Thou shalt love the Lord your God with all thy 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁, and with all thy 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹, and with all thy 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵, and with all thy 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱; and thy neighbor as thyself.”🐦‍🔥🐺🐙🐉

The Houses have already gone head-to-head in Big Ball Volleyball, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and other brain games testing their knowledge and speed. Beyond monthly House competitions, students also gather for Bible study to foster spiritual growth and connections.

👀🙏🏼Looking for a way to prioritize God's presence in your daily life and for the long haul?

Rooted in Exodus 33:15, the 2026-27 school year's theme, "𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵," boils down to this: "𝘐𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘶𝘴, 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘨𝘰."

During secondary chapels last week, Head of School Mr. Walden shared his heart to see students grow spiritually as the school stays true to its kingdom-focused mission.

He offered four practical ways to walk daily in God's presence this year:

◆𝗣𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆: Start your morning by seeking the Person before seeking the plan.

◆𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱: Fill your heart and mind with God's truth before the noise of the world takes over.

◆𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀: Bring God’s wisdom, peace, and gentleness into everyday challenges and decisions.

◆𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀: Trust Him with your future, knowing He holds every step ahead.

“The ultimate goal of the Christian life isn’t discovering a roadmap, it’s knowing God personally and walking closely with Him every day,” shared Mr. Walden.

😁📸We captured lots of smiles from high schoolers on Wednesday during their first day, connecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and catching up with their favorite teachers after summer break.

Students and teachers even played a little “getting-to-know-you” bingo at the end of the day. Welcome back, returning students — and welcome to all the new faces! We’re praying students have a year of growth spiritually, academically, and relationally for God’s glory!
