The IABS team supports the work of implementing and sustaining a multi-tiered system of support an MTSS framework. NC Multi-Tiered System of Support Definition: NC MTSS is a school improvement framework that encompasses academic, behavioral, and social-emotional instruction and support. NC MTSS employs a systems approach using data-driven problem-solving to maximize growth for all. Belief Statemen

t: We believe that NC MTSS is the most effective and efficient approach to improving district, school, and student outcomes thereby ensuring a sound basic education for all. Vision: Every NC Pre-K-12 public education system implements and sustains all components of a Multi-tiered System of Support. Mission Statement: The division will prepare and support LEAs to implement and sustain a multi-tiered system of support through professional development, technical assistance, and resources aligned with the six critical components of NC

Last week in Ocracoke, educators explored MTSS components and strategies to support student learning during an informative week of professional development.
